About

The Bayesian Experimental Design & Active Learning (BEDAL) Seminar Series was founded following the Manchester Workshop on Bayesian Experimental Design 2026 in Manchester, UK. BEDAL research and the adoption of BEDAL methods by scientists is growing rapidly following recent technological advancements and the need for autonomous scientific discovery. BEDAL as a whole still suffers from challenges surrounding scalability, robustness, and efficient exploration. The BEDAL Seminar Series was born out of a need to keep researchers familiar with the latest breakthroughs in pursuit for the real-world use of BEDAL.

Currently, the seminar series is organised by a group of researchers from the universities of Lancaster, Manchester, and Oxford.
